Brick, New Jersey carries the distinction of being the " Safest City in America " (2006). Located near the Atlantic Ocean, Brick and nearby Point Pleasant (also, see photos of Jenkinson's beach and the marina at Point Pleasant Beach) and Brielle offers great seafood, plus romantic, scenic and popular restaurants and quality dining along Barnegat Peninsula, along the Jersey Shore. Brick isn't mainly a town for seafarers, though - it has also been given distinction as a "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Society.
Brick is known for its Italian cuisine and pizza, but excellent Asian cuisine can be found as well. Brick area residents also know that there are some very good dining choices in larger neighbor Toms River (www.toms-river-nj.com, a partner site) as well as Howell, Lakewood and Wall.
